I’m Ellis Bristow, a 23 year old actress based in Los Angeles and New York. My training is for TV and film, but I got my start in theatre. Through local plays and musicals, I discovered my love for acting.
Additionally, I studied mathematics at Trinity College, where I split my time between class and school productions (Hamlet, Discovering the Holy Body). I worked in New York (A Sketch of New York, Redneck Rodeo) and frequently made the trip to Los Angeles to train at Stella Adler, AMDA, and the Ruskin School. Since moving to Santa Monica, I’ve been working on Vertical Shorts (Step Back, I’m the A+ Heiress; Three Strikes, You’re Out!; Too Late, My Ex-Campus King), and have ventured out into producing.
One of my goals as a student of mathematics and an actor is to increase interest in STEM. I’m hoping to show my audience that you can explore the sciences without sacrificing creativity. In fact, by studying math I am able to apply logic to my acting and be more creative.
I’m also a guitar player, ballet dancer, pole vaulter, philosophy minor, and former fraternity brother.
